Product Description

The corrosion resistance of tantalum is the same as that of glass, and only fluorine, hydrofluoric acid, sulfur trioxide (including fuming sulfuric acid), strong alkali and some molten salts have an effect on tantalum at medium temperature (about 150°C). Metal tantalum is stable in air at room temperature, and when heated to higher than 500°C, it will accelerate oxidation to form Ta205.

Other medical fields account for about 1%of tantalum consumption. The other 2%are used for military purposes.
