    Product Description

A sheathed RTD is a robust, integrated temperature sensor manufactured through a specialized process that combines a sensing element (such as platinum wire), insulation material, and a metal protective sheath.

It is one of the most commonly used and reliable contact temperature sensors in industry, particularly suited for harsh environments. Its core temperature measurement principle is the same as that of a standard RTD: both operate based on the characteristic that the electrical resistance of a metal conductor changes with temperature.

WINNERS supplies high-quality sheathed RTDs. Our PT100 RTDs utilize a thin-film sensing element, offering a compact size, fast response, cost-effectiveness, and excellent long-term stability.

    Working Principle of Sheathed RTDs

An RTD measures temperature by utilizing the property that the electrical resistance of a metal conductor changes predictably with temperature. As the temperature varies, the resistance value exhibits a highly linear relationship to the temperature. By accurately measuring this resistance, the corresponding temperature value can be precisely determined.
