Thermowells are core protective components in temperature measurement systems, primarily used to isolate and protect thermocouple sensing elements from high-pressure, high-speed fluid impacts and corrosive media.  Using Thermowells, sensors can be removed and replaced without stopping the process.

Thermowells can operate stably in extreme industrial environments, withstanding temperatures from 600°C to 1400°C. Special materials can withstand temperatures above 1400°C and possess excellent resistance to chemical corrosion and mechanical wear.

Product Structure & Commonly Used Materials

Thermowells are typically manufactured using precision machining of solid bar stock or welding processes with special metal tubes. The products offer various handle configurations, such as straight, tapered, and stepped, to accommodate different flow rates and pressure conditions.  Installation methods include threaded connections, flange mounting, and welding.

Standard materials for Thermowells are usually 316L stainless steel and 304 stainless steel; for highly corrosive environments, special materials such as Monel alloy and Inconel alloy can be used.
