Industrial Thermocouple Assembly
Product Description
An industrial thermocouple assembly is a temperature sensor based on the Seebeck effect. It measures the temperature of various media—including liquids, steam, and gases—as well as solid surfaces, across a wide range from -200°C to +1300°C, making it suitable for applications from low-temperature to high-temperature environments.
WINNERS supplies industrial thermocouple assemblies in types K, N, E, J, and T. Manufactured from high-quality materials, these thermocouples provide excellent long-term stability and reliability, capable of meeting the demands of continuous temperature measurement under harsh industrial conditions, such as high temperature, high pressure, and other challenging scenarios.
We support customization based on your specific application needs, including but not limited to:
• Sheath material
• Sheath diameter
• Insertion length
• Mounting interface (e.g., threaded, flanged)
• Electrical connection
This ensures perfect compatibility and seamless integration with your system.
Working Principle of Thermocouples
The temperature measurement principle of a thermocouple is based on the Seebeck effect: when a temperature difference exists between the measuring junction (hot junction) and the reference junction (cold/connection junction), a thermoelectric electromotive force (EMF) is generated within the circuit formed by two dissimilar conductors. By measuring this thermoelectric EMF, the temperature at the measuring junction can be determined.
The magnitude of the thermocouple's EMF increases with the temperature at the measuring junction. Crucially, the EMF depends only on the materials of the two conductors and the temperature difference between the junctions; it is independent of the length or diameter of the thermoelement wires.
